In my DES 503 furniture class with Tim Antoniuk, I continued my focus on expanding the Roborganizers series. During the initial stages I did not intend to go with ‘roborganizers but big’ though ultimately that is what it became. I intended to create a system of modular shelving following four principles that would form the basis of my design thinking moving forward. These principles are simplicity in concept, playfulness in form, engagement with local manufacturers, and accessibility to regular people.
Like my past projects, I intend to continue to experiment and create future variations of this project. With the goal to create a better and more accessible product.
